Frequently asked questions
What’s the difference between SPC and WPC?
SPC (stone plastic composite) has a denser stone-composite core – ultra-rigid and dent-resistant. WPC (wood plastic composite) is slightly softer and warmer underfoot. Both are 100% waterproof.
Waterproof vs. water-resistant – what’s the difference?
Waterproof floors stand up to standing water; water-resistant floors only handle brief exposure. In kitchens, baths, and laundry rooms, choose true waterproof.
Can waterproof flooring go in a shower?
On shower floors, yes, where the product is rated for it – but shower walls need tile. We’ll spec the right product for your wet zones at the estimate.
Attached underlayment vs. separate – which is better?
Many rigid-core planks come with attached underlayment for sound and comfort. On concrete slabs we may add a moisture barrier. We’ll advise what’s right for your home at your free estimate.
